welcome to weverse, a post-covid slice-of-life pb idol gpsl with heavy faux celeb elements set in seoul, south korea. weverse is centered on the fictional entertainment agency Yuzu Corporation and its signed acts and employees (administrative staff, stylists, producers, coaches, trainees, etc). this means that players are welcome to apply as either a faux celeb signed to the agency, or as a character completely outside of the realm of the spotlight.

yuzu headquarters are located in the heart of seoul, in the seongsu district. with convenient access to shopping, residential, and nightlife districts, an array of activity is available for characters to indulge in, no matter their walk of life. at weverse, mod-run events will be common and aim to influence the development of all characters with us (more on that below).

yuzu is largely based on real life entertainment agency hybe corporation, which owns the app for our namesake, weverse. players interested in bringing in a faux-celeb do not need to have credits for acts under hybe in order to apply. we are simply using the company's likeness to give scope to both the financial resources available to the agency as well as the relative level of fame achieved by acts under their management.

yuzu corp manages boy groups, girl groups, soloists, actors, and models in the industry, as well as employs hundreds of entertainment industry workers. the company offers a highly secure luxury dormitory for all of the acts signed with them, complete with pretty much any other additional amenities that you could think of.

additionally, the company owns weverse, a social media platform designed for interaction between celebrities and their fans both through text, audio, and video. the app also offers a private messaging function for communication between users. for the sake of the friends page, please imagine that all posts are posted on the app!

we've all been around the block enough times to know the deal with this. our rules are very simple: be respectful, and do not blur the line between in character and out of character. weverse welcomes themes of all kinds, and if you cannot keep ic drama from leaking into your ooc interactions, this may not be the gpsl for you. any blurry behavior will result in removal from the community.

trigger warnings: please utilize trigger warnings and place anything that may be triggering under a cut as a courtesy to your fellow players.

our application process will be fairly simple. to join you will need
⤷ a journal with an ooc username
⤷ a backdated bio/blurb and friends only post.
your bio should contain at least 100 words about your character to give everyone an idea about who they are! name/age/credits etc. ⤷ telegram
optional but encouraged! we will be strict with activity requirements on the fp to keep anyone who is more app averse from feeling excluded. ⤷ no examples are needed at this time to apply.

the mods reserve the right to deny anyone we feel would be a poor fit for our group. please look to the various icon and layout journals available on ij, and don't hesitate to reach out to the mods if you need assistance on this matter, we want to foster a fun and inclusive environment for all. however, if your application has been deleted, you have been rejected.

weverse will stay as a gpsl open to application by all, but should we deem it necessary in the future, we may switch to an invite only style.

when choosing to apply as a faux-celeb, we ask that you choose a single credit. this means that if you are choosing to give your character credits, you are selecting an entire body of work. this helps reduce the headache on the parts of both the mods and players. we also ask that you please do not use the same face as the credit you are selecting, just to keep things fresh and creative! please note your credits in your character's bio, as well as your application.

keep in mind that credits must follow the five year rule to be permitted, meaning your character's age must be within five years of your chosen credit.

upon acceptance, please introduce your character in sns within 48 hours of being accepted. we will have a survey available as an option, but any form of activity such as a social media post, multi media post, moodboard, or interactive narrative etc will be accepted. depending on the volume of apps, we may post a ffa to accommodate a large volume of incoming members to avoid clogging the fp with introductions.

following acceptance, you will be required to make at least one interactive post per month to avoid removal. while this requirement may change in the future, we want to create a relaxing and stress free environment.

additionally, we will be holding frequent events as a mod team during every month. these events are designed to keep the fp bustling with activity. because of this, participation in at least one of these events a month will also be mandatory and count towards your monthly activity requirement.

these events include but are not limited to award shows, company parties and trips, gossip posts from dispatch based on in character interactions on the fp, member birthdays, group debut anniversaries, group comebacks, etc.

in the case of gossip posts, you will be consulted on if you want to opt in to have your character featured in this way. we urge all players to participate in public character development, but we understand this may not be everyone's bag.

in addition to our typical activity requirements, we require members to run the friends button following every set of adds. members who do not update their friends list more than three days following adds will be gently nudged by mods. repeated offenses may result in removal.

on telegram: while we recognize that some players will enjoy the ease of communication over telegram, we also acknowledge that apps aren't for everyone. we will not be enforcing everyone to participate on telegram for this reason. conversely, we will be strict with enforcing equal activity on the friend page. anyone found to be solely using telegram to carry out their interactions will be warned and subsequently removed if the offense continues.
